Terms of use and purchase
Version 8 · last updated 13.10.2026
These terms apply to the Madnek app (coming soon) and to paid coaching. They are the same terms shown in the app; the Hebrew version is binding.
Health disclaimer
All information, content, training programs, explanation videos, nutrition data and meal plans in the app are general recommendations only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and are not a substitute for clinical nutrition advice.
If you have any medical condition (including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, orthopedic problems, injuries, pregnancy or taking medication), or any nutritional issue (including allergies, sensitivities, eating disorders or a special diet), consult a doctor and a clinical dietitian before starting any training or nutrition program, for your personal safety.
Stop the activity immediately and seek medical help in any case of pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pressure or any unusual sensation.
Nutrition and calorie values shown in the app (in the food bank and meal plans), as well as the calories burned calculated for cardio workouts, are estimates only and may be inaccurate. Some of the data is based on the Israeli Ministry of Health national nutrition database (data.gov.il), provided as is, without sponsorship or endorsement by the State.
Terms of use
1. Acceptance of the terms
Use of the "Madnek" app (the "App"), operated by Madnek Fitness (the "Operator"), is subject to accepting these terms of use. By registering for or using the App you confirm that you have read, understood and fully agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
This English text is a translation provided for convenience; the Hebrew version of these terms is the binding version.
2. Nature of the service: recommendations only
The App provides tools for logging workouts and nutrition, along with general information, explanations and programs. All content is a recommendation only; it is not medical, physiotherapy or clinical nutrition advice, and it is not tailored to your health condition.
3. User responsibility
Using the App, performing the exercises and following the nutrition recommendations are at your sole responsibility. You declare that your health allows you to exercise, and that you have obtained (or will obtain) medical clearance where required.
It is your responsibility to perform every exercise with correct technique, at a weight and intensity suitable for you, in a safe environment with proper equipment, and to stop immediately at any pain or discomfort.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the App and for keeping your login details confidential.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator, its owners, coaches and employees will not be liable for any damage, injury, illness, loss or expense, direct or indirect, resulting from use of the App, reliance on its content, or performing the exercises and nutrition plans shown in it.
The App is provided AS IS. The Operator does not guarantee that the content is free of errors, that nutrition values are accurate, or that the service will run without interruption.
5. Age and permitted use
The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. Use by a minor requires the consent of a parent or guardian and professional supervision.
You may not use the App unlawfully, attempt to break into it, access other users' data, or copy and distribute its content.
6. Intellectual property
All rights in the App's content, including videos, images, texts and training programs, are reserved to the Operator. They may not be copied, distributed, broadcast or used commercially without prior written permission.
7. Privacy
The information you enter (such as workouts, body measurements, the health declaration and meal plans) is stored in your account and used only to provide the service. The coach who operates the App may view this information for professional coaching. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.
The full details of what information is collected, how it is used, who sees it and your rights are in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Paid personal coaching: purchase, renewal and cancellation
Personal coaching is purchased on the app's website (app.madnek.com) at the price shown on the join page. The price includes VAT and is paid in shekels. Payment is processed by Morning's payment system (Grow); card details are entered directly with them, never pass through us and are not stored by us. A receipt is emailed for every payment.
The plan is monthly with no fixed-term commitment, and renews automatically every month at the same amount until cancelled. Recurring charges are made only after you have explicitly approved them. We will give existing members advance, separate notice of any price change, and the new price applies only if you have not cancelled before the next charge.
Cancelling the plan: you can cancel at any time, by tapping "Cancel monthly plan" in the app's settings, by email to madnek@protonmail.com, by phone on 054-6294429, or at the business (Elashvili Avishai St., Lod, Israel). Once you give notice there are no further charges (if a charge is made anyway, it is refunded in full), and coaching stays active until the end of the paid period.
Cancelling under the Consumer Protection Law: if you bought the coaching remotely, you may cancel the transaction within 14 days of purchase. The amount paid is then refunded, less a proportional part for the period in which coaching was actually provided and a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower.
If a monthly charge fails (for example, an expired card), coaching ends at the end of the paid period, and you can renew at any time.
A purchase for a minor under 18 requires a parent's consent, and payment is made by the parent or with their approval.
Questions about charges and receipts: madnek@protonmail.com.
9. Changes and governing law
The Operator may update these terms from time to time. If there is a material change, you will be asked to accept the updated terms before continuing to use the App.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.
The app's privacy policy
Privacy policy last updated 13.10.2026
1. Who we are
The "Madnek" app (on the web and the phone apps) is operated by Madnek Fitness (מדנק פיטנס), business no. 310744578, owned by Michael Nektalov, Elashvili Avishai St., Lod, Israel, phone +972 54-629-4429 (the "Operator", "we"), who is the controller of the app's database.
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email us at madnek@protonmail.com.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and what your rights are, under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 1981, and its regulations.
2. Information we collect
Account details: email address, full name and username. Your password is stored in encrypted form by the login service, and we cannot see it. If you turned on two-step login, the login service also keeps your authenticator app's key.
Intro questionnaire: goals, training experience and availability, year of birth, height, weight, sex (optional), injuries, medical notes and nutrition preferences (for example kashrut, vegetarianism and allergies). If you skipped the questionnaire: a short note for the coach, in your own words.
Health declaration (personal coaching, and under 18): full name, ID number (or passport number if you are not an Israeli resident), age, your answers to the Ministry of Health medical questionnaire and your signature; for trainees under 18, also a parent's name and signature; and, where needed, a photo or file of a medical certificate from a doctor.
Short health questionnaire (free version, 18 and over): the same medical questions, without an ID number or a signature. The answers are not stored, only the date you filled it in.
Training and body records: workouts, sets and weights, cardio (duration, distance and estimated calories), body measurements (weight, circumferences and body fat), check-ins (weight, sleep, energy, stress, adherence and notes), progress photos and training programs you built yourself.
Watch and health app (in the phone app, only after you read the explanation in the app and agreed to it, and only what you also allowed on the phone's permission screen): the app reads from Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iPhone, and never writes there. Saved to your account, and seen by the coach: your daily step count, and workouts from your watch (type of workout, date and time, duration and distance). Shown only to you, on your phone, and never sent to us or stored by us: heart rate during workouts, active calories (per day and per workout), weight and body fat. We do not read location or routes, sleep, nutrition or any other health data. The time you agreed is recorded. You can disconnect at any time in the app, and choose whether to delete the saved steps and workouts too. The distance and calories on the steps screen are estimates from the step count and are not stored. A daily step goal, if the coach set one.
Nutrition: meal plans, favorite foods and foods you added (including barcodes).
Communication with the coach: messages, technique-check videos and the coach's replies, and any feedback (rating and comment) you sent.
Payments (only if you joined paid coaching): the amount and date of each payment, the receipt number and its link, and your plan's status (active, cancellation requested or cancelled). Your card details are not stored by us: they are entered directly in the payment system.
Settings and service data: Shabbat mode, participation in the monthly challenge board, language, colour theme, reminders, your access level (free or coached) and coaching period, and when you accepted the terms, signed the health declaration and filled in the short health questionnaire.
Technical information: our hosting servers record technical data such as IP address, browser or device type and time of access, to run and secure the service. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build marketing profiles.
On your device: so the app works without signal and remembers your login, it keeps on the device your login details, a copy of your profile, workouts not yet synced, and your language and reminder settings. Some of this is deleted when you log out, and all of it when you uninstall the app or clear the browser data.
Permissions: camera, to scan barcodes (scanning happens on the device) and to take photos, videos and medical certificates you choose to upload; notifications, for reminders you turned on, which are scheduled on the device itself; watch and health app (Health Connect or Apple Health), only to read the data listed under "Watch and health app", if you allowed it. You can withdraw each permission at any time in your phone's settings.
3. Sensitive information
Health information, body measurements, photos and ID or passport numbers are sensitive, and some of them are "information of special sensitivity" under the Protection of Privacy Law. We collect them only for the purposes in this policy and with your consent, and access to them is limited to you and the coach.
4. Why we use the information
To provide the service: logging workouts and nutrition, tracking progress, programs and reminders.
To enable personal coaching: the coach uses the information to build and adjust training programs, advise on fine-tuning meal plans, and reply to check-ins and messages.
For health and safety: the health declaration (in the wording of the Fitness Institutes Regulations (Licensing and Supervision) (Health Declaration and Medical Certificate), 2015) and the medical certificate are required for personal coaching and under 18, and are also used to adapt training to your condition. The short health questionnaire in the free version helps you know whether to see a doctor before you start.
To manage your account and access (free or coached), and to send service messages such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
For security, preventing misuse, fixing problems and meeting legal obligations.
To improve the app based on feedback you sent.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing.
5. Do you have to provide the information
You are under no legal obligation to give us information; it depends on your choice and consent. However:
Without account details you cannot use the app.
With personal coaching, and under 18, you cannot use the app without a signed health declaration (including an ID or passport number). With personal coaching, if you answered "Yes" to any question, the app opens only after the coach approves a medical certificate.
In the free version (18 and over) you fill in only the short health questionnaire; a "Yes" answer shows advice to see a doctor, without locking the app.
Without the intro questionnaire the coach cannot tailor a program for you; some of its fields are optional.
All other information (workouts, measurements, photos, messages and so on) is provided only if you choose to enter it.
6. Who sees the information
You.
The coach (Madnek Fitness): sees the account details, intro questionnaire, health declaration and medical certificate, workouts, steps, measurements, check-ins and photos, meal plans and messages of all users, including free users, for coaching and safety.
Other users: only if you join the monthly challenge board, they see your first name and the number of days you trained that month. You can leave the board in Settings at any time.
Service providers that run the app for us, only as far as needed:
Supabase: the database, accounts and file storage. Its servers are in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union).
Resend: sending service emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset. It receives your email address and the message content, and sends from servers in Ireland (European Union).
Cloudflare: hosting of the website and delivery of the app over a worldwide server network, including in Israel, and the security check against bots (Turnstile) on the sign-up, sign-in, password reset and account deletion screens. It receives technical data such as your IP address and browser or device details, for security only.
Morning (Green Invoice) and Grow: processing payments for paid coaching and issuing receipts. They receive your name, email address and the payment amount, and the card details you enter directly with them. Morning keeps the receipts as the law requires.
Open Food Facts: when you scan the barcode of a product that is not in our database, only the barcode number is sent to them, with no personal information.
WhatsApp: only if you choose to tap the WhatsApp contact button; from then on, WhatsApp's privacy policy applies.
As required by law: we will disclose information if required by law, a court order or a competent authority.
Business transfer: if the business is sold or merged, the information may pass to the new owners, who will be bound by this policy.
7. Storage outside Israel
The information is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany), where strict data protection law (GDPR) applies. Some technical data is also processed in the USA by Cloudflare, and your email address and the content of service emails may also be processed in the USA by Resend, subject to their data protection commitments. Using the app includes consent to this transfer.
8. Security
All communication with the app is encrypted (HTTPS). Access is restricted at the database level, so each user sees only their own information and the coach sees trainees' information. Photos, videos and medical certificates are kept in private storage and open only through temporary links.
You can turn on two-step login in Settings: after the password you also enter a code from an authenticator app on your phone. It is required on the coach's account. When it is on, the database itself refuses access to your information without the code.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information, but no method guarantees complete protection. If a serious security incident occurs, we will act as the law requires. Choose a strong password and do not share it.
9. How long we keep the information
The information is kept for as long as your account is active.
Deleting your account in the app (in Settings) deletes your personal information immediately; a deletion request by email is handled within 30 days. In both cases, except: health declarations and medical certificates, which the regulations require us to keep for two years from signing, are kept unlinked from the account and deleted afterwards; and information we must keep by law or to defend against legal claims.
If you delete your account while on a monthly plan, your name and email address are kept only until the monthly charge is stopped with Morning, then deleted. The receipts themselves stay with Morning as the law requires.
Copies of deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time until they are overwritten.
10. Your rights
Access: you may review the information held about you (section 13 of the Protection of Privacy Law). Most of it can be seen directly in the app.
Correction and deletion: if the information is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or out of date, you may ask us to correct or delete it (section 14 of the Law). Some of it you can edit yourself in the app.
Account deletion: you can delete your account and information at any time in the app, in Settings, or ask us by email, subject to the exceptions in section 9.
Withdrawing consent: you can leave the challenge board, turn off reminders or stop using the app. Withdrawing consent to keeping health information requires closing the account, because the service cannot be provided without it.
How to contact us: send requests to madnek@protonmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity first, and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the Privacy Protection Authority at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
11. Minors
The app is intended for users aged 18 and over. A trainee aged 12 to 18 may use it only with a parent's consent, signed in the parental consent part of the health declaration. The app is not intended for children under 12. A parent may contact us about their child's information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will update its date accordingly. If there is a material change, we will let you know in the app and ask you to confirm again.
